This book is dedicated to your mastery of the art of realizing all your desires. The greatest gift you have been given is the gift of your imagination. Everything that now exists was once imagined. And everything that will ever exist must first be imagined.

Wishes Fulfilled is designed to take you on a voyage of discovery, wherein you can begin to tap into the amazing manifesting powers that you possess within you and create a life in which all that you imagine for yourself becomes a present fact.
Dr. Wayne W. Dyer explores, for the first time, the region of your highest self; and definitively shows you how you can truly change your concept of yourself, embark upon a God-realized way of living, and fulfill the spiritual truth that with God all things are possible—and "all things" means that nothing is left out.

By practicing the specific technique for retraining your subconscious mind, you are encouraged to not only place into your imagination what you would like to manifest for yourself, but you are given the specifics for realigning your life so you can live out your highest calling and stay connected to your Source of being. From the lofty perspective of your highest self, you will learn how to train your imagination in a new way. Your wishes—all of them—can indeed be fulfilled. By using your imagination and practicing the art of assuming the feeling of your wishes being fulfilled, and steadfastly refusing to allow any evidence of the outer world to distract you from your intentions, you will discover that you, by virtue of your spiritual awareness, possess the ability to become the person you were destined to be.

This book will help you See—with a capital S—that you are divine, and that you already possess an inner, invisible higher self that can and will guide you toward a mastery of the art of manifestation. You can attain this mastery through deliberate conscious control of your imagination! That you, by virtue of your spiritual awareness, possess the ability to become the person you were destined to be.

Wayne Dyer’s new book Wishes Fulfilled – Mastering the Art of Manifesting appeared to come about as he was dealing with a diagnosis of Leukemia. This diagnosis, as any serious crisis in our lives, brings us face to face with the spiritual principles we have dabbled with but now use as our life preserver. We toss away the concepts that don’t seem to manifest the results we need and embrace the ones that do. When we find what works, we pass that knowledge onto others.

That’s what Wayne Dyer has done with this book. Refusing to be branded with the stamp of illness, Wayne he has found the spiritual techniques that have kept him in a state of wellness and peace and passes those on to you. His desire was to manifest health and well being. Yours may be to manifest prosperity and financial security. Others may want to manifest friendships or intimate relationships in their life. Whatever your heart desires, Wayne shares the wisdom he has acquired to help you to manifest those dreams.

The book is has two parts:

Part I is called The Higher Aspects of Yourself

This is where he talks about the non-physical aspects of you—the part of you that is connected to the divine source of energy or as some call it, God. He shows the reader the power this source brings to your life and how to use it to manifest what you have a burning desire to experience.

Part II is called The Five Wishes Fulfilled Foundations

He shows you how imagination is the first step to manifesting anything in your life. He talks about Living from the End—assuming it’s already a reality and Feeling It—knowing and creating the feelings of having what you want right now. The next foundation concept is aligning with what you want by placing your Attention on it. Finally, he shows how powerful the subconscious mind can be in manifesting your dreams. He talks about using the subconscious mind during your dream state to power up the manifestation process.

One of the stories I related to was when Wayne said, “Throughout my life I’ve often been called excessively persistent and even obsessive in going after what I wish to fulfill. The truth is that I have within me a very powerful knowing that when I place something into my imagination, it is already a fact for me.”

Wayne gives the example of getting his Ph.D. He was told, “Nine out of ten doctoral students do not receive their degree because they cannot complete the vigorous requirements of writing a dissertation.” He says, “I knew that this did not apply to me, because I was already a doctor in my imagination.” I think we know Wayne Dyer went on to get his Ph.D.

I can relate to Wayne Dyer’s story. I went back to school at age 30 to finish my bachelors degree in Accounting. When I graduated, I decided to sit for the CPA exam. For several months before the exam, I took an all day prep class on Saturdays to get ready for the test. I remember sitting in the cafeteria during lunch being surrounded by other women in my CPA review class. One by one, they went around the table stating that they would “Never pass the test. No one passes it. It’s too hard.”

I couldn’t’ believe my ears. I wondered why anyone would attend an all day review class on Saturdays to take a test they think they’ll never pass. I declared at the table, “I’m going to pass this test. Watch me! And after that, I’m going to work for a big 4 accounting firm.”

Like my fellow classmates, they said, “You’ll never get hired by a big 4 accounting firm. You’re too old. They only hire people who are 22 to 24 years old so they can groom them.”

Once again, I stated, “Watch me!”

My friend and former neighbor Dave can attest to this story. I put a big sign up in my apartment that said Big 4 or Bust! I packed all my belongings and had stacks of boxes in my apartment expecting to move. Dave walked in one day and said, “Where are you going?”

I said, “I don’t know yet. All I know is that I’m going to work for a Big 4 accounting firm.”

I can’t say the process was easy, but I was determined and focused. I was rejected many times over but I kept on for months on end. Finally, I got the Success in Uncommon Hours phone call. Wayne Dyer often repeats a quote by Henry David Thoreau that goes like this:

I have learned, that if one advances confidently in the direction of his dreams, and endeavors to live the life he has imagined, he will meet with a success unexpected in common hours. - Henry David Thoreau

After almost a year of trying to get into a Big 4 Accounting firm, I got a call from Ernst and Young’s Dallas office. They flew me down and made me an offer in the interview! Who ever gets a job offer IN the interview?! I did. Not only that, it was for more money than I expected and they paid for my move.

Oh and by the way, I passed the CPA test. Not one woman I ate lunch with did…just as they imagined.

I can attest to the manifesting techniques Wayne Dyer is talking about in Wishes Fulfilled – Mastering the Art of Manifesting. Without knowing it, I followed all of the steps he outlined and I did manifest my wish…several of them actually. Of course, once you get what you want, you need to come up with a new wish. That’s what life is all about right?

The new wish I’m manifesting is getting my novel published. It’s called Portsmouth – A Love Story. It’s about falling in love in Portsmouth but also falling in love with Portsmouth. Since the 1800’s, many people have written about The Mystique of Portsmouth, New Hampshire. I know that mystique and enjoy writing about a city I passionately love.

At Wayne’s suggestion in one of his PBS specials, I had a book cover made up that I look at during the manifestation process. What I know for sure is that it’s already published in some time space reality—similar to my experience attaining my CPA license and the job I held at a Big 4 Accounting firm. I’m excited about seeing my creative prodigy enjoyed by others.

There’s an anonymous man in the movie Pretty Woman with Julia Roberts who wanders the streets of Hollywood, a place where dreams comes true. He asks a simple but profound question to passersby—a question I will ask of you now, “What’s Your Dream?”

“I am God”

Early in his book “Wishes Fulfilled: Mastering the Art of Manifesting” Wayne Dyer encourages his readers to declare this bold statement. The key to manifesting your desires, Dyer believes, is recognizing your divine nature and live from that.

Now this statement will immediately cause some readers to toss the book aside. “Much of organized religious teaching proclaims that God is an all powerful being outside of you,” Dyer says. People of that mindset will no doubt consider “Wishes Fulfilled” heresy.

I would encourage you to stick with Dyer and let him explain this different concept of God than what you may be familiar with. “There exists within all of us a Divine spark, called the I am that I am, and when it is kindled and nourished, it is capable of miracle-making at an astonishing level,” Dyer writes.

Two keys to “miracle-making”, says Dyer, are your imagination and feelings. “Once you place a thought into your imagination about who you want to become, I encourage you to live from that end, as if it had already materialized into the physical realm,” he writes. And “when you are able to passionately feel whatever it is that you wish to have or become, as long as it is aligned with your highest self – that is, God – you become it and it becomes you.”

I liked these ideas and looked backed at the accomplishments in my own life. Did I not first “imagine” that I could create something special, and “feel” it was possible, before my past visions became reality? Yes! Reading Dyer’s detailed explanation of this process encouraged me to make these mental exercises a part of my daily routine. I created a one page summary of the book’s key points and pasted it to my “quote wall” at home, where I look at it every day. I am excited to see what future “miracles” occur in my life by following these principles.

Dyer gives many examples throughout the book from his own life and from others on how this process can change lives. One in particular I was impressed with was the story of Anita Moorjani, a woman who was on the brink of death yet healed herself of cancer after a realization of her true loving nature. Dyer also touches on other spiritual phenomena, like the presence of mysterious “orbs” in photographs at his lectures, and his own remote healing from the Brazilian “John Of God”.

Wayne Dyer in my opinion is one of the great spiritual teachers alive on the planet today. “Wishes Fulfilled” is another in his series of inspirational books that have had a positive impact on my life. “Let your imagination explore your invisible realm in a way that will allow this new energy to permeate your life,” Dyer suggests. “Move to a place within yourself where Wishes Fulfilled is a new way of being rather than just the title of a book.”

This is another book review in my partnership with Hay House. I was not financially compensated for this post. I received the book from Hay House for review purposes. The opinions are completely my own based on my experience.

“Wishes Fulfilled is designed to take you on a voyage of discovery, wherein you can begin to tap into the amazing manifesting powers that you possess within you and create a life in which all that you imagine for yourself becomes a present fact.” Hay House by Dr. Wayne W. Dyer

First, I must disclose that I am relatively new to this-way-of-thinking or this train-of-thought, this spiritual path. Because I know how silly it may sound to some well-educated or well seasoned individuals when I say: WOW

I read this book in a day. This was the first of Dr. Dyer’s that I could so easily absorb and I felt hungry and wanted more, so pushed through to the end. Again, please pardon the oh so common phrases but at the end, I felt that my experience was mind-bending and life-altering.

I have heard of similar events, that Dr. Dyer has personally experienced and writes about, but had not given them much credence. I feel that because this is reported by Dr. Dyer – this opens up a whole new world of thought and possibilities – as was intended.

I am deliberately being vague because I don’t want to spoil, for the next readers, what I thought were some amazing stories and events. They’ll have to choose for themselves if they are to be altered.
